about

This is my first solo EP under the name of Tin Pan Parade.

The songs on this EP chronicle different situations that have happened to me recently and deal with growing up and heart-break and all sorts of other issues I've gone through. I hope these lo-fi sadboi songs help someone or have someone appreciate them half as much as I enjoyed creating them.

Track Name: "What Are You Thinking About?"
It is my birthday
And surprisingly you texted me
About how your leaving
In a Few years
And how different everything will be

I want to say more
But there is nothing new for me to say
That I didn't tell you a year back or two

I break in and give up
Trying to disguise my interest in you
That never faded since we were kids
Even though it's obvious
From every unread message I send to you

I want to say more
But there is nothing new for me to say
That I didn't tell you a year back or two

What a melancholy gift from the so-called god
To punish me in the best way
By taking my vice 3000 miles away
So I can cleanse my conscious
With a fresh start that I never wanted

I want to say more
But there is nothing new for me to say
That I didn't tell you a year back or two
Track Name: Thin Blue Lines
Life is like a book of matches
Bright for a second then gone with a scratch
What a metaphor for some pseudo-intellectual
Scrounging the thesaurus for fancy words to try to impress you

And I search
And I search
Yeah I search and I search but there's nothing tonight here for me

So I smash my head
Into a wall
For all the songs I scrawl on thin blue lines
To try to catch your eyes
The way they looked that night
There were beautiful
And you too

But we will never get to that point
We are stuck in 21st century dating limbo
Dodging texts and never replying on time
Unless you fall into an overwhelming sense of loneliness
By choice rather than a real sliver of emotion

And I search
And I search
Yeah I search and I search but there's nothing tonight here for me
Track Name: Lacking
Well staying up every night
Trying to find the right words
To rhyme and make sense
Of what I'm really saying in my head

But it never comes out right
It's always lacking something
That I can never place my finger on
How ironic they remind me just of you

I am getting tired of this
Yeah I am getting bored
Of wasting my time
All for wasted breaths

I am going to sleep.
Track Name: We've All Been There
Dropping out of college never felt so cool
Until it didn't.
And I regretted it and you
18 months and 19 years down the drain
With some over-emotional bullshit in my brain

These things
Take time
Longer than I'm willing to admit
Longer than I wanted you to wait

Ten years later
Maybe you'll come up to me and say
You want another shot
The mix was not strong enough in your favor
The first time around
Then everything we be back to the broken chaotic lousy excuse of love

I never knew you in the first place
So stop haunting my dreams
